What does a test involve?

Over 120 substances which include common foods and drinks are tested during our consultation. The equipment we use is a bio-electronic analyzer which measures the body's electrical resistance to the afore mentioned substances. If a substance is causing a problem then it will effect the body's electrical resistance. How does the test work?

The consultant will use a stylus similar to the one as seen above, you will be holding a small cylinder conductor which picks up a certain type of energy which goes through the Di Etx machine and then back out again through the stylus pen, once the consultant completes a circuit by touching the clients finger. 

Potentised food ampoules are then added into the circuit of the machine and if the food item does not agree with you it creates an abnormal reading in the circuit which is known as a resistance.  It has an accuracy rate of 75 - 80%, but the elimination diet is known to have an accuracy rate of 100% and the result of this test will pin point potential foods that need to be eliminated from your diet to see if they are a problem.  Click the link to view our image gallery.  Image Gallery

How long does it take?

A Consultation with our allergy therapist takes approximately 45 - 60 minutes, and the results are instantaneous.  At itsallaboutyou, we believe that an essential part of the test is to provide nutritional advice and counselling geared to your circumstances and needs. Whilst we appreciate that other providers are able to carry out a test in a shorter period, our service is unique in that we provide an all round service which treats the you as an individual. We believe that once you have undergone one of our tests and experienced our professional service you will have no hesitation in recommending us to your family and friends.

How Much does it cost?

Who can be tested?

This test is suitable for anyone other than those with a pacemaker and any aged child subject to them being on solid foods. If you are taking prescribed medication this will not interfere with the test.

How many tests will I need?

We tend to find only one test is necessary as our trained allergy therapists are able to provide ongoing support and advise, through our dedicated help-line. However if more in-depth therapy is required itsallaboutyou are able to provide you with more testing. (This will incur a separate fee.)

Will I have to avoid certain foods forever?

This will depend on whether your body can tolerate the food once it has been reintroduced into your diet, after an initial 4 week programme. In some circumstances this 4 week period will have to be extended, if, for example, the body's immune and digestive systems need additional support to eradicate the underlying problem.
